Need for Healthy Diet to Stay Fit in the Game

Boxing has been a popular sport with the people. It would not be wrong to suggest that boxing has become the most watched and highly popular sport with the people. However, not all people would be aware of the first boxing match played. It all started when the first boxing match was recorded in the year 1681 in Britain. However, it would be pertinent to mention here that there were no rules in the game. The first set of rules was introduced in the year 1743, approximately 60 years after the recording of the first boxing match.

Need for rules in the game

The first ever rules were to allow the boxer fallen in the game and unable to continuing fighting would be given 30-second count for coming back in the match. In event of the boxer failing to return in the game after the stipulated 30-second count, the opponent would be declared as the winner. More rules were introduced such as 3-minute round and introduction of boxing gloves in the match. Later, the need for mouth guard and other accessories ensured there were no severe injuries occurring in the game. The major reason for introduction of rules in the game was to avoid serious injuries leading to deaths of the boxers in the ring fight. A number of deaths took place in the game without any rules governing the game.

Nutrition for the boxer

A healthy diet and nutrition for the boxer has been deemed of great importance. It would help the boxer to stay fit and healthy for the upcoming matches. It would be pertinent that the boxer should encourage carbohydrates, proteins and fats in their diet. A majority of boxers have started using additional supplements such a protein bars and protein shakes for enhanced strength and power.
